The following steps explain the procedure for children wishing to join Uplands School.
Before proceeding with steps 1 to 6 please refer to the Yeargroup Reference Chart (see downloads below) to confirm which yeargroup your child will enter based on his/her date of birth.
STEP 1: Application Form
Download and printout the Application Form below or collect one from the Admissions Office at Uplands School. Complete this and return with copies of your passports, school reports, any SEN or medical reports and a processing fee of RM 350.
STEP 2: Assessment
Assessments are conducted during school term, strictly by appointment only. As soon as we receive the application form, the applicant will be invited to School for the Assessment. Please allow 2 hours for a range of interview and assessment tasks.
STEP 3: Review
The application and outcome of assessment are reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
STEP 4: Result
Parents are advised of the outcome of which there are three possibilities:
Applicant is Successful: A confirmed place is offered at the school. The family will follow the next step – Confirmation of a place.
The application is Pending: The application is successful but places are not available and the applicant’s name will be placed on a waiting list.
The application is Unsuccessful:The family will be notified in good time, to allow for alternative arrangements for future schooling, to be made.
* Please note: Applications filed under Pending will be accepted as soon as a confirmed place becomes available.
STEP 5: Confirmation of a place
Having been given an offer of a place, the family should confirm acceptance and pay the Deposit. Upon receipt of the Deposit by Uplands, the students place is secured.
STEP 6: Enrolment
Upon enrolment, the Entrance Fee will become payable, together with termly Tuition Fees. The Deposit will start to depreciate, with payments made to the School Building fund.
