Work Experience

In Year 10 students undertake a week long work experience program. Students work with companies of either their own choosing or using placements arranged by the school. This is compulsory for all students in Year 10.

In Year 9 and 10 students start their careers profiling using the Naviance system. Students complete a series of tests/questions about their interests which enables a very useful profile to be produced highlighting possible future career choices for them to consider. These options should be carefully considered by students when contemplating their work experience and IGCSE/IB subject choices. Both work experience and Naviance profiles have proven themselves very valuable to both students and parents. For more information please see Universities and Careers section of this website.

Curriculum and Assessment Summaries

The curriculum and assessment summaries are documents (see download resources below) aimed at giving parents and students a clearer idea of what students will learn in each of their subjects, and how they will be assessed. You will find one compressed file per year group, each of which contains a separate document for each subject. Please note, these are only supposed to give a rough overview of what will be taught and when, and the exact content, timings and mode of  assessment may vary depending on the changing needs of classes as we go through the school year.
