As students move into the High School, there are beginning to make choices about the subjects and pathways they wish to pursue. Whilst the programme at Uplands remains broad, we are proud to be able to offer an exceptionally diverse range of pathways and subjects for students to choose from. We have intentionally designed our programme to be flexible, varied, and inclusive so that we can provide the most appropriate pathways for our diverse student body. This ensures each student can build a programme that sets them up for success and provides access to a multitude of opportunities beyond school in a wide variety of different countries around the world.Â
Uplands has multi-certification pathways including a four-year CIS-accredited High School Diploma awarded to all students on successful completion of the final 4 years of high school provided they meet the minimum credit and subject requirements. This High School Diploma is a pre-unversity qualification that allows students to access tertiary education around the world. This qualification is integrated with the two-year International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE) in Year 10 and 11 followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Year 12 and 13. Students may choose to take all, some or no courses with external examination and therefore certification depending on their needs, interests and future aspirations. Throughout the High School journey the University counselor, the tutor team and the Heads of Year work closely with each individual student to design their programme, select their subjects and courses and then track their progress so modifications can be made if necessary.Â
